Many low cost or budget carriers run a strict check in system at all of their departure points. What that means is that if you arrive at the check in counter outside of their designated time schedule, they may deny you travel. This refusal can be even if the flight is still a long way from departing.
Check in times can vary depending on the type of flight you are taking. It is important to check the conditions of your ticket a few days before your scheduled departure. And if you want to ensure you can catch your flight, make sure you are at check in well before the advised time.
Have you missed a flight because of a strict check in policy?

make sure you get to the check in counter on time or they wont give you a ticket to board. They will make you pay for another flight if you want to fly with tiger or you will have to get another airline.
ReplyDeleteThe BLR-SIN sector is misleading. There have been so many instances where you book the ticket for a particular day and don't realize it's actually a midnight 12 AM flight the day you wish to fly. So when you actually reach the airport the flights alerady departed. The website does highlight this, it need more for passengers who are elderly or ly less frequently who ay not be too familiar with the process.
